CWA Legacy T Contracts Are In
Monday, 25 January 2010

Local 3250 have received the 2009 CWA/AT&T Legacy T Contracts and the first of our Members’ to receive them were at the Thursday night membership meeting. Area Vice Presidents are now scheduling times when contracts will be distributed to our CWA Members’ in their workplace. Contracts will be shipped to our CWA Members in outlying offices in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

CWA: FCC Must Preserve an Open Internet While Promoting Investment, Quality Jobs

The Communications Workers of America expressed support for efforts by the Federal Communications Commission to protect an open Internet that are consistent with the need to promote investment in the nation's high-speed networks and create jobs.

AT&T: Net Neutrality OK if they can control it-$$$

The nation's top Telco claims it is willing to meet the Federal Communications Commission halfway on net neutrality. The olive branch comes in the form of a letter that AT&T sent to the FCC, which suggests specific wording for Internet non-discrimination rules. In September the agency released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that would toughen up its Internet Policy Statement with an enforcement mechanism and transparency requirements.
