AT&T-Legacy T Lay Off Announcement |

AT&T Legacy T announced a lay off which will affect 76 of our brothers and sisters across the nation. The total amount of members affected in our Local 3250 is 33 and they are located in Georgia. The Company is offering a VTP in selected surplused titles, which may relieve some of the impact of this forced lay off. We have no members affected by this lay off announcement in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The following is the business unit, title, GCA and surplus number
announced by at&t for this current layoff and VTP.
Business Unit – Business Enterprise Worldwide Customer Service
Sales Representative –C, GCA (323) Atlanta – 1
CSDG Assembler, GCA (323) Atlanta – 2
Customer Sales & Service (CSSS), GCA (323) Atlanta– 16
Senior Operations Clerk, GCA (323) Atlanta– 3
Service Order Admin. (SOA), GCA (323) Atlanta– 8
Special Operations Clerk, GCA (323) Atlanta– 3
Comm Tech, GCA (323) Atlanta- 10
This completes the titles being surplused in Local 3250’s jurisdiction. It is
unfortunate that at&t has not accepted the Union’s proposal to make planned
force adjustments by using the contractor – workforce and halting their
outsourcing.
We will be supporting our affected brothers and sisters with financial
counseling, the alliance and the at&t Resource Center. We will keep you
informed of any updates or changes concerning this lay off declaration.
