Join Local 3250 Mobilization Volunteers
Monday, 12 January 2009
As we approach the Contract Expiration at AT&T on April 4, 2009 it is imperative that we establish a strong mobilization network at Local 3250. Our local encompasses members in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina for AT&T Legacy T. Our Mobilization Chairperson, Richard Yancey is looking for CWA Members to volunteer to be part of Local 3250’s mobilization network as part of a collective organization available for activities to demonstrate our solidarity and that support our Unions bargaining negotiations at AT&T.

As you know, these will be difficult negotiations that we will be entering into with AT&T. At stake are issues that include healthcare, pensions, conditions of work, and job security along with retiree benefits. It is our collective responsibility to achieve a contract that will continue to protect our current and future members. The best way to achieve our goals in bargaining is through the actions and solidarity of our members.

Mobilization Chair-person Richard Yancey states:
“This is one of the most import contracts in the history of CWA at AT&T.  The future of our members and future employees depend on our involved actions during bargaining. Now that AT&T has merged with SBC and BellSouth , we have an obligation to protect and fight for a fair and decent contract for all members and their families. We cannot compromise the integrity and hard work of our past members who have sacrificed to obtain our contractual gains. This is our time and this is our watch. I am looking for volunteers to be a member of the Mobilization Network and you can reach me by clicking on .  We will not let the company undermine our contract and benefits on our watch.”

Becoming an active member of the mobilization network is your opportunity to participate in achieving a fair and just contract. Take the step and join with your brothers and sisters by investing and becoming a participant in the fight for your future. Now more than ever, you are needed to step up and sign up for the Mobilization Network at CWA Local 3250 by contacting Richard Yancey on .

One Union, One Fight, One Future.

In unity,

Roy Hegenbart
President
CWA Local 3250
